I forgot! We started the "deer don't eat bird net" phenomena in our neighborhood you can see bird net all winter everywhere now...I love started garden trends!! Even though it is August this seemed relevant at 4 in the morning...
Also I stole....or transplanted how ever you may want to look at it some wild euphorbia from the hillside of the foot hill areas they are super cool..dusty blue with chartruse blooms early spring. I planted them on the cliff.. Ha ha cliff outsmarted you again... who says you cant garden sheer cliffs with no irrigation to them....not me.

in the interest of documentation....this year I did the side yard project.
1. Sonia rose...finally found
2. added big fluffy perennials to the tricolor beech cedar hellaboris and deer eaten euonymus these included: catmint, shasta daisies (I never thought i like these but I guess my tastes have changed) hardy geranium, yellow lamium, dusty leaved yellow yarrow (love) next year I am getting james a rose and so on.
Also we are getting a trex gate 6' on the garage side and a small portion of trex post iron fence between us and the morales and got a 4' fence small portion in back yard.
Next year is big backyard transformation. Fun!!!
